Tarot for the Hard Work Workshop & Book Signing

  • The Philosophical Research Society 3910 Los Feliz Blvd Los Angeles, CA 90027 (map)

Bold, vital, urgent, and monumental, TAROT FOR THE HARD WORK: An Archetypal Journey to Confront Racism and Inspire Collective Healing is one of the most exciting tarot guides in recent memory and The Philosophical Research Society is proud to welcome author, tarot reader, and ritual facilitator Maria Minnis for an interactive workshop around her groundbreaking new book! Tarot can change our lives, but what if it could change the world? Join Minnis for this Healing Internal Bias with Tarot Archetypes workshop, where participants will join in vulnerable, honest, and brave community to explore how tarot archetypes can help them address and heal the impact of bias within themselves, their relationships, and their communities. Participants will be encouraged to forgive themselves for being human, admit their flaws and judgments in a safe space, and begin to take small, everyday actions toward a more equitable world.

In her innovative and interactive workshop, Minnis will cover:

  • Recognizing, confronting, and continually healing unconscious bias and internalized racism

  • Decolonizing common spiritual language and nonviolent communication
Intersections of personal power with the concepts of “power over” and “power with”

  • Ways supremacy culture seeps into spiritual communities

  • Active listening as a portal

  • Love as rage and rage as love

  • Cultivating one’s “activist persona” and ways to evolve it through time and experience

Following the workshop, Maria will sign copies of TAROT FOR THE HARD WORK – available for sale!

Don’t miss this incredible and innovative workshop.
